A Collared Kingfisher scans the mud beneath the mangroves for small crabs and other potential prey.

My thanks to my sister, Mara, for spotting this bird. We watched it for twenty minutes during which time it entertained us by retching up the shell of a previous meal, and catching, bashing and consuming the next.
